Advancing Success in Associate Pathways (ASAP) Program

Advancing Success in Associate Pathways (ASAP) Program removes financial barriers to full-time study, provide structured pathways to help students gain and maintain academic momentum, and create connected communities through integrated supports and engagement activities—all in service of dramatically increasing timely completion rates for participating students.

SUNY ASAP targets Pell-eligible students to provide multiple support resources, including cost of attendance award after financial aid has been applied, travel and textbook expenses, comprehensive personalized advisement services, academic support assistance, and career development activities.

SUNY ASAP is modeled on the highly successful City University of New York (CUNY) Accelerated Study in Associate Programs (ASAP), which have been found through rigorous evaluation to dramatically increase completion rates, narrow opportunity gaps, and realize cost efficiencies and benefits. Since their inception in 2007, ASAP|ACE have collectively served more than 100,000 students within CUNY and have been replicated in seven states.

We understand that earning an associate degree may not be easy, but it is well worth it!

To increase the number of students who can finish their degree on time, SUNY’s Advancing Success in Associate Pathways (ASAP) program was designed to provide an unparalleled level of support – both inside and outside of the classroom. This support comes in a variety of important ways, including cost of attendance award after financial aid has been applied, travel and textbook expenses, comprehensive personalized advisement services, academic support assistance, and career development activities.

By becoming involved, students gain valuable tools and resources that will enhance their competitiveness when pursuing their business, criminal justice, and human services degrees.
