As a #SO ASAP Student, You Will Receive...

Student Responsibilities
SUNY Orange’s ASAP Program is designed to help students graduate with their associate degree in no more than three years. Students within the program will receive holistic support needed to accomplish their academic goals and address personal needs, including the benefits listed above. Once accepted in the program, students will:
- Enroll as a full time student each semester (12-16 credits)
- Maintain good academic standing (have a 2.0GPA or above)
- Complete required developmental courses within the first year of participation
- Use support services monthly
- Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and the New York State Tuition Assistance Program (TAP) application each year to remain eligible or apply under the Dream Act to receive state aid, including TAP, Excelsior, and other state-administered scholarships.
- Meet with a personal advisor twice each month
- Intend to graduate from SUNY Orange within three years
How Do I Become a SUNY Orange ASAP Student?
- Be a current student or apply to SUNY Orange.
- Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and the New York State Tuition Assistance Program (TAP) application or Dream Act.
- Check your eligibility.
- Tell us you’re interested: Fill out our interest form and an ASAP staff member will email you regarding your eligibility and next steps.
