SUNY Orange

Welcome to the Office of Educational Partnerships!

History:

In March 2006, the Vice President of Academic Affairs announced the creation of SUNY Orange's Office of Educational Partnerships. The College has been actively engaged in working with the community for some time, but the efforts have been housed in different areas of the College. This office was created with the intention of providing comprehensive coordination of all the College's activities related to external educational partners and to help expand our efforts in this area.

Mission Statement:

The Office of Educational Partnerships is designed to enhance the integration of the College's Community College in the High School Program, Tech Prep Program (soon to be Career Pathways in Tech Prep Program), Center for Youth Development (which houses the Liberty Partnership Program (LPP), 21st Century Grant, and NYS Math & Science Grant), Camp College, Secondary and Postsecondary faculty collaborations, educational partnering grants, Satellite Centers, articulation/transfer agreements, and all other educational outreach efforts. The primary focus is to:

  1. Increase awareness and collaboration among SUNY Orange and the Orange County community.
  2. Extend our educational focus beyond the students at our campus to the Orange County community and to assist with the varied educational needs of Orange County residents.
  3. Provide SUNY Orange students with more explicit and focused pathways for connecting and sequencing their academic pursuit.

These partnerships allow us to learn from each other, contribute to the educational, economic, and cultural vitality of the region and broaden the scope of the educational experience of Orange County and the surrounding areas residents.
