Visual Communications Technology: Graphic Arts/Printing Requirements

PHOTO: Student in the iMac labThe Associate in Applied Science degree program in Visual Communications Technology: Graphic Arts/Printing prepares graduates in all aspects of visual communications and graphic design. These include layout, production, typography, commercial print processes, illustration and computer graphics for entry-level positions in graphic design, printing, publishing, desktop publishing, advertising, marketing, presentation graphics, game design, animation, multimedia and communications.

Below is the suggested course sequence to complete the Visual Communications degree.

NOTE: A.A.S. degrees are primarily intended to prepare students for immediate employment; however, transfer opportunities exist in some areas. If you plan to pursue a four-year degree program, see department chair or faculty advisor as soon as possible.
