CAPE to Offer New Problem Gambling Program in Fall Semester

The Department of Continuing and Professional Education at SUNY Orange is pleased to have received approval from the New York State Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services (OASAS) to offer the Problem Gambling Specialty Designation Program for Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselors (CASAC).

This new 60-hour program includes training on problem gambling knowledge and education; screening assessment and diagnosis; clinical treatment, treatment planning and case management; and relapse prevention and discharge planning. The program is designed for current CASAC's who wish to add the CASAC-G specialty designation to their credential.

Classes begin on August 26.
