| Description: | from Bodyscapes to Landscapes is a retrospective of the artworks of Harriet E. Phillips. Harriet pursued parallel paths in art during her adult life. She was a commercial artist and she learned the classical approach to painting while taking classes with the late Frank J. Reilly at the Art Students League of New York City. Her commercial art directed her to the profession medical illustrator. Serigraphy peaked her curiosity and held her attention for awhile. She also took up collage through the influence of collagist, Jonathan Talbot of Warwick. In addition, Harriet does traditional landscape painting. Harriet Phillips is now a resident of Florida, NY. Selections from all these areas and styles of art will be on display in this diverse, interesting, and educational exhibit. Orange Hall is ADA compliant and located at the corner of Wawayanda and Grandview Avenues, Middletown. |
