Welcome Iman Elginbehi our new CSTEP Coordinator

Dear College Community,

We are excited to welcome Iman Elginbehi back to SUNY Orange as our new CSTEP Coordinator. Iman was previously the Internships and Community Service Developer at SUNY Orange where she was very successful in securing internship placements for students and managing the college’s Community Service program. Iman has over 17 years of experience working in higher education advocating for at-risk students, addressing college readiness, designing and evaluating curriculum. She has deep roots in the Hudson Valley having worked at Sullivan, Ulster and Dutchess County Community Colleges.  She is a graduate of Ulster County Community College and received both her B.S. and M.B.A. from SUNY New Paltz.

In her new position, Iman will be coordinating the Collegiate Science and Technology Entry Program (CSTEP) at Orange. This newly acquired, grant funded program is designed to increase the number of students from under-represented groups who are pursuing professional licensure and careers in mathematics, science, technology (STEM) and health-related fields. At SUNY Orange, the grant will serve students in business, criminal justice, education, exercise studies, human services, health fields, and all STEM degrees.

Iman is well-suited for this new challenge. She has a long record of encouraging students and helping them succeed. She is results-oriented, and she possesses keen analytical, organizational and interpersonal skills. Iman brings great creativity, energy and enthusiasm to this position. We are so thrilled to have her back in the SUNY Orange family. Welcome Iman!
