Applications being accepted for LSAMP

Applications are now being accepted for LSAMP at SUNY Orange!
The Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation (LSAMP) program is designed to help under-represented minorities and succeed in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) fields.

Opportunities Provided: 

  • Special access to research opportunities
  • Financial support for research 
  • Attend scientific conferences
  • Career and transfer exploration 

 This is a program of academic support and enrichment for students intending to major in STEM, particularly those who have an interest in scientific research. The LSAMP program can give you the edge you need to succeed at SUNY Orange and beyond. 

 Eligibility: 

  • Full-time SUNY Orange Student 
  • U.S. citizen or permanent resident
  • Pursuing a Degree in STEM (science, technology, engineering or math) with an interest in scientific research.
  • Member of an underrepresented group (African American/Black, Hispanic/Latino Native American, Alaska Native, or Pacific Islander) 
  • Minimum GPA 2.5 

Apply online no later than 

Tuesday, November 24th 2020,  by 5:00 p.m.   

You will be notified of your acceptance by Monday, December 7th. Programming will begin in the Spring 2021 semester.
