College to Test New Emergency Communication System May 30

College community,

SUNY Orange is transitioning to a new emergency communication system. As part of that transition, the College must conduct a test of the new system.

The test has been scheduled for approximately 12:15 p.m. on Wednesday, May 30.

For students and employees who have entered emergency contact information into the NY Alert form in Banner (accessible via MySUNYOrange), you can expect to receive a test message in any or all of the following formats for which you have information entered: text, email, landline phone, mobile phone, and FAX.

All messaging will include the word “TEST” prominently. You will not be required to take any action when you receive these messages. You many continue on with your normal course of business. You may wish to alert family members and friends of the test so that they do not become alarmed.
