The Empty Chair Project Scheduled for Week of Oct. 23

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month.

The Empty Chair Project is a week-long event to help raise awareness and prevention of domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, and other forms of interpersonal violence in our communities.

During the week of Oct. 23-27, 20 folding chairs will be assembled in the Kaplan Hall Grand Street Lobby and Shepard Student Center Fireplace Lounge. They represent the 20 people each hour who become victims of domestic violence in the United States.

Each chair holds information about domestic violence and its impact on our society. For more information please call the Wellness Center at (845) 341-4870.
