SUNY Orange Sustainability to host annual Plant Swap

Join us for some FREE plant-lovin’ fun at our fourth annual Plant Swap, hosted by SUNY Orange Sustainability, this Saturday, May 27.

Plant drop-off and sorting will be from 9 to 10 a.m.; swapping begins at 10. Rain or Shine. All are welcome - bring a friend, but not your pet.

This year we will be including two additional tables, one for SEEDS and one for GARDEN RELATED ITEMS. For the SEEDs, please do NOT include any invasive species and make sure everything is labeled properly.

For the GARDEN RELATED ITEMS, we will include gardening tools (only in good condition), books (only gardening and plant related) and other strictly gardening related items.

Tips for first time swappers:
- No invasive species
- Plants should be in a container
- Label plants as well as possible (annual/perennial, size, sun/shade, bloom color, etc)
- Bring flats or trays to bring your new plants home in
- Plants should be well watered, pest and disease free
- Dig plants a few days in advance so they can recover, and water well
