SUNY Orange Symphonic Band Concert on Tap for Dec. 10

The SUNY Symphonic Band Concert is on Saturday December 10th, 7:30 PM Paramount Theater. The concert will feature 4 members of the SUNY Symphonic Band. The flute soloists are Laura Martellaro, Judy Bracco, Holly Dunn, and Kerry Maloney. They will be performing an arrangement by Joe Martellaro of Euday Bowman’s “12th Street Rag”.

The Symphonic Band will also perform “Poet and the Peasant” by Franz vonSuppe, “Fate of the Gods” by Steven Reineke, “Take Off” by Daniel Weinberger, “Carol of the Bells” by Andrew Wainwright, and “Prairie Dances” by David Holsinger. Selections from the musicals “Hairspray” and “West Side Story” are also on the program.

The SUNY Orange Symphonic Band, under the direction of Joe Martellaro, is comprised of students, teachers, and members of the community. The Paramount Theatre, located at 17 South St. in Middletown, and is universally accessible. Admission is $10. Active duty military, students under 12 years of age, and SUNY Orange students are admitted for free.
