Newburgh Campus Involvement Fair Featuring The Icarus Account (band) and Adam Pate (caricature artist)

Stop by the OCTC Great Room in Kaplan Hall at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 15, for some fun, LIVE MUSIC, FREE FOOD, A CARICATURE and to JOIN A CLUB! Whether your interests are purely recreational, educational, social or cultural, there is a club for you.

The Icarus Account... [are] two twin brothers from Florida who love to write and record music...[They] are a small operation, two brothers recording out of a home studio in a spare bedroom...As cool as it’s been to hear one of [their] songs in a TV show or open for some big names, it has been even more meaningful [for them] to hear real life stories from people who have been impacted by [their] music. Whether it’s a fan who used[their] song “Favorite Girl” to propose to his fiance, or a couple who shared their first dance to “So In Love,” or a high schooler struggling with depression that has been comforted by our song “Mayday;” these stories are a reminder of how powerful music can be and how lucky [they] are to be able to reach the world by doing what [they] love...[They] love writing [,]..recording...>meeting fans for the first time and calling them friends by the end of the night...

Adam Pate draws more people per hour than anyone in the world! He can draw up to 200 people in b/w on paper at a 3 hour event sitting or strolling while people watch, talk and laugh with him! A sketch takes 45-60 seconds.
