Symphonc Band to Perform at Paramount on Dec. 8

The SUNY Symphonic Band Concert, “Festival at the Falls," is on Saturday, Dec. 8 at 7:30 p.m. in the Paramount Theater. The Symphonic Band will perform “The Falls” by Rossano Galante, “Gloria” by Randol Alan Bass, and Robert W. Smith’s “Great Locomotive Chase." The SUNY Band will feature the trombone section—George Kister, Brian Ackley, Helen Belles, Abby Williams, Rebecca Ferguson, and Joe Bucci—in the “Sweet Trombone Rag.” The program will also include selections by James Curnow, Joe Martellaro, and Chip Davis.

The SUNY Orange Symphonic Band, under the direction of Joe Martellaro, is comprised of students, teachers, and members of the community. The Paramount Theatre is located at 17 South St. in Middletown and is universally accessible. General Admission: $10 Active military and SUNY Orange with ID: Free, Seniors 60 and older and all other students with ID: $5.00, Children under 12 are Free.
