E-Waste Collections during Earth Day events at both campuses

Students, faculty, and staff are invited to bring their old or unneeded PERSONAL computers, monitors, laptops, notebooks, netbooks, tablets, e-readers, IPads, printers, peripherals, cell phones, smart phones, and even coffee makers and microwaves to either the Middletown or Newburgh Earth Day event on Thursday April 19 (Middletown) and Friday April 20 (Newburgh). (ONLY LCD/LED televisions can be accepted).

PLEASE NOTE that everyone is responsible for wiping their own data. To that end IT has created a document "Wiping my Computer" to help you through the process.

Please also note that although, the E-waste recycle company associated with the College indicates that everything will be "ethically recycled and wiped", the College will not take responsibility for any data left on your computer or device.

Again, -THIS COLLECTION IS FOR PERSONAL ITEMS ONLY – IT DOES NOT INCLUDE ITEMS THAT HAVE BEEN PURCHASED BY THE COLLEGE. IF YOU HAVE COLLEGE EQUIPMENT THAT YOU NEED TO DISPOSE OF, PLEASE CONTACT THE IT DEPARTMENT FOR ASSISTANCE.

Drop-off times and sites:

Middletown:Thursday April 19, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Parking lot #5 (South Street across from BioTech). You’ll be able to drive up close to the collection site where Computer Club members and/or IT personnel will help you unload.
