SUNY Orange Introduction Video Script

philosophy of Orange County Community College.

Since 1950, SUNY Orange has fulfilled the educational and professional needs of Orange 
County and the Hudson Valley. Having served more than 450,000 students, it’s no 
wonder SUNY Orange is recognized as a leading educational institution in the State of 
New York and beyond.

SUNY Orange offers students opportunities to learn and grow thanks to comprehensive 
course options, nearly 40 academic programs and exposure, an array of student-led 
organizations and numerous cultural experiences that span the globe.

Plus, our students have access to the resources and technological tools of their future. 
Nursing students perform diagnostic tests using the state-of-the-art technology available 
in Sim-Man. Telecommunications students tackle cutting-edge communications problems 
in our new Frontier TechLab. A new AutoCAD lab gives our architecture students a 
platform to implement today’s newest design software. These are but a few of the many 
areas where SUNY Orange pairs innovative hands-on learning with traditional classroom 
instruction.

SUNY Orange also realizes that a quality education is not simply confined to classroom 
instruction, relevant course offerings, and technology. At the end of the day, the most 
critical component to a meaningful and complete educational experience is the human

Student:  The classes at SUNY Orange tend to be small, so as a student, you actually 
have access to your instructor. And the professors here really care.  They work you hard

Administrator:  SUNY Orange is hands on with its students.  Faculty members’ doors are 
always open and our student support services are outstanding – (examples can be 
whatever Vinnie thinks best, or whatever the admin on camera wants to talk about) From 
tutorial services to advising and counseling, from career services to our new learning 
communities, we build programs and support mechanisms aimed at insuring student 
success.

The College continues to enjoy steady growth in enrollment, and with projections

branch campus that will replace the Newburgh Extension Center, and three satellite 
locations, SUNY Orange allows students to take courses and locations that fit their busy
