11 a.m. - 12 p.m

Ran'D Shine…In the time that it takes you to read these words, Ran'D has already read your mind and likely figured out which card you will pluck from the deck a week from now. With the flick of a wrist, the Philadelphia native has become a global phenomenon by wowing the most diverse and wildly appreciative audiences for more than a decade. His unique style and presentation so impressed President Barrack Obama that he was invited to be a special performer for the "Salute to Heroes" at the 44th Presidential Inauguration Banquet and Ball in 2009…As his fans will so gleefully attest, he is so much more than a magician.

Cas Haley...From his early days with his musician parents, surrounded by the sounds of blues, ‘60s-‘70s rock, and Bob Marley, through his immersion in ska/punk/skateboard culture and the classic reggae-pop of bands like UB40 and Sublime, Cas went on to a second-place finish on America's Got Talent and some hard-knock lessons about the music business. Through it all –his years of touring, and now in the fourth year of his fruitful collaboration with Easy Star Records – Cas has never lost sight of music’s core message of communication among people and nations.

cash attack game showgame show

Tuesday, November 18
Shepard Student Center, Cafeteria (MDTN)
11 a.m.

Cash Attack is a great new game show that has taken the characteristics of two well-known game shows, Let’s Make a Deal and Deal or No Deal, and combined them to create an innovative and entertaining event that everyone in the audience has the chance to be part of. Five rounds will be played, with total winning possibilities summing up to $1,250.00.

Contestants are chosen from the audience in a Let’s Make A Deal fashion. Everyone is asked to stand, as our host calls out statements that pertain to them such as whose birth date ends in an odd number, or whose last name has more than three vowels in it. The last person standing is the contestant who gets the chance to play for the cash. Our set consists of a drapery backdrop and lighted shadow boxes, which hold the 21 cases the contestant gets to choose from. These cases have dollar amounts ranging from .01 to $250.00. The round is played just like the TV classic Deal or No Deal and features its very own energetic host and banker. The set of Cash Attack comes complete with a state-of-the-art sound system and lighting effects and can be adapted to any setting inside or out!
