Financial Literacy Series
Student Support Services will be introducing a new and exciting Financial Literacy Series.
The objective of the series is to educate TRIO/SSS students about sound money management skills and the financial planning process and help students begin to develop positive behaviors that are necessary to attaining financial maturity and achieving a secure future after college.

- March 2010-Good Debt, Bad Debt: Using Credit Wisely
- April 2010-Budgeting: Making the most of your money
- May 2010-Keeping money safe
Mentoring Program
The mentoring relationshop is designed to foster a network of support for first year students in the TRIO program. Mentors serve as peer support personnel for these freshmen (mentees) and share program goals and responsibilities aimed at ensuring the retention of this particular group of students.
Goals and Objectives:
- to aid in the academic, emotional and socio-cultural adjustment of TRIO students to college life
- to encourage positive self-discovery through campus involvement
- to enable mentees to navigate through SUNY Orange departments for appropriate support services
