Eligibility Requirements
Student must:
- be graduating from a New York State High School and meet the requirements that have been set forth for the resident(in state) tuition rate.
- register as a full-time student at SUNY Orange (12 or more credits)
- be ranked in the top 10% of high school class or have a high school cumulative grade point average of 90 or better
- show involvement in extracurricular activities in high school or in community service
- Applicant need not be registered for the fall 2010 semester at the time of application. However, in order to receive a SUNY Orange Scholarship, the applicant must be registered on or before June 1, 2010 for the fall semester
Application Procedures
- Complete the 2010/2011 FAFSA on-line at www.fafsa.ed.gov † (scholarship application will not be considered unless the entire financial aid process has been completed)
- submit a completed scholarship application
- submit a class rank form to high school guidance counselor for completion
- submit two high school faculty recommendation forms
- All forms from student, guidance counselor and high school faculty must be received at the SUNY Orange Financial Aid Office by March 1, 2010
Selection Process
- The College’s Committee on Scholarship and Financial Assistance will review the applications and make recommendations to the College President for final decision.
- Students will be notified by May 1, 2010
