SUNY Orange anthropology professor publishes world images

MIDDLETOWN - Orange County Community College professor of anthropology Barry Kass has recently published 11 of his photos in a major college textbook, Humanity: An Introduction to Cultural Anthropology, Seventh Edition, by James Peoples and Garrick Bailey.

The textbook features photos taken by Kass on his many travels throughout the world, including photos from Honduras, of Jerusalem’s Wailing Wall and other historic Israeli sites, of Central and South American people, and scenes from Africa, Mexico and Algeria as well.

The book, widely in circulation throughout the nation, is a mainstay in colleges. "It's definitely one of the standards," says Kass.
