SUNY Orange Arts and Communication Department to Present Spring Choral Concert
SUNY Orange Arts and Communication Department to Present Jazz Ensemble
ALBANY SUNY Orange honor student Nanette DeGroat of Walden was honored on Monday, April 21, 2003 at the Empire State Convention Center in Albany with a Chancellors Award for Excellence.
She was one of two hundred and eighty-three students from sixty-one SUNY campuses who were recognized for their accomplishments in the areas of academics, leadership, athletics, creative and performing arts, community service, entrepreneurship or career achievement.
Each student received an award certificate and medallion.
DeGroat, who is scheduled to graduate this May, is also president of the
student club Future Teachers of America.
MIDDLETOWN Orange County Community College will hold a Spring Open House on Tuesday, May 20th from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the College Commons, featuring tours of the campus, meetings with faculty and staff, information on college admissions, academics, financial aid, career counseling and more.

MIDDLETOWN The Orange County Community College annual Spring Choral Concert, featuring the College Choir and the Madrigal Singers will perform a program of choral classics on Sunday, May 11 at 3:00 p.m. in Orange Hall Theater. The concert is open to the public and is free of charge.
The College Choir and the Madrigal Singers are directed by OCCC choral instructor Christa Damaris. The concert features Oye La Musica, Every Time I Feel the Spirit, Cant Smile Without You, This is the Moment Jekyll & Hyde, The Will to Survive, And All That Jazz Chicago, Bye Bye Blackbird, Somewhere West Side Story, and Battle Hymn of the Republic.

MIDDLETOWN The Arts and Communication Department at Orange County Community College is pleased to announce a performance by the SUNY Orange Jazz Ensemble on Saturday, May 10, 2003 at 8:00 p.m. Under the direction of Music Professor and recording artist Chris Parker, the Jazz Ensemble will feature Nostalgia in Times Square, If You Never Come To Me, Equinox, Armageddon, Footprints, Fever, and Black Angel.
The performance is open to the public and will be held in Orange Hall Theater. Admission is by donation to the Departments Music Scholarships.
