SUNY Orange announces Horton Health Care Foundation gift to college's Radiologic Technology Department

MIDDLETOWN- On Monday, December 23, 2002, Jerry Bergman (on right), trustee of Horton Health Care Foundation presented a check in the amount of $12,597.75 to Orange County Community College Chairperson of the Department of Radiologic Technology Robert Misiak (on left). This donation was made in memory of Rob Kuhn, an employee in the diagnostic imaging department at Horton Medical Center. The funds will be used to enhance the radiography lab at Orange County Community College.

The Radiologic Technology program is the heath profession responsible for performing radiographic examinations. For eight of the last nine years, 100% of the graduates from the SUNY Orange Radiologic Technology program have passed the National Boards given by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.


SUNY Orange offers How to Purchase and Set-Up a Home Theater/Entertainment System

MIDDLETOWN- Consumers looking to purchase and install a home theater or entertainment system, but aren’t sure how to go about it can take advantage of a new, one-day, four-hour class offered by Orange County Community College’s department of Continuing and Professional Education on Monday, Feb. 10, 2003.

The class will meet at the college’s Newburgh Extension Center at One Washington Center from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. The course fee is $48.

SUNY Orange offers Microsoft Office classes

MIDDLETOWN- Users looking to upgrade or improve their skills in critical workplace computers skills using industry-standard software can take advantage of six spring session Microsoft courses offered by Orange County Community College’s department of Continuing and Professional Education.

The Microsoft Word 2000 course will run from Feb. 4 - 20; Microsoft Powerpoint, from Feb. 25 to March 13; Microsoft Excel 2000 from March 18 to April 10; and Microsoft Access from April 15 to May 1.

Tuition is $216, and includes a text.

The classes will meet on Tuesday and Thursday evenings in room 211 of the college’s Newburgh Extension Center at One Washington Center from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
