PBIE Minutes Thursday December 9, 2010

Present: Michelle Tubbs (Chair), Cory Harris (Co-chair), Beverley Marchesani, Deb Merrill, Kathy Zurilla, Deb Horowitz, Cynthia Richichi, Josephine Vondras, Christine Work, Amanda Stiebel, Ming Wang, Abdel Farah


1. Initiatives approved by the committee to be presented to Cabinet were ranked by each respective committee member.  Each committee member individually entered their initiative rankings into the Excel spreadsheet and the average ranking for each initiative was determined.   There were three instances of ties when the average ranking was determined for the initiatives.  The committee referred back to the voting results of the initiatives to determine which would get the higher ranking.  The final rankings were approved by vote. The Chair will provide a copy of the final rankings to each committee member.

2. The minutes of December 2, 2010 were approved by vote.

3. The Chair and Co-chair will meet tomorrow, December 10, 2010, with Pres Richards and the 5 VPs to discuss a “guidance document” on PBIE issues. The Chair will report to the committee members on the outcome of the meeting.

4. The committee will tentatively meet every two weeks throughout the spring semester, spring semester meeting dates are on the agenda.

5. The committee members thanked Michelle Tubbs and Cory Harris for their leadership this year.

6. The meeting was adjourned by Chair, Michelle Tubbs at 4:15 p.m.
