How to Use the HTML Editor

The HTML Editor is a WYSIWYG (What you see is what you get) editor that allows users to quickly create or edit formatted online content without knowledge of HTML (Hypertext Markup Language).

The HTML Editor is available wherever a text area is found within ANGEL. For example, when clicking on the Drop Box to submit a file:

Note: The HTML Editor supports Windows and Macintosh operating systems using Internet Explorer 8 or 9, and Mozilla 3.x and above. The HTML Editor hyperlink will not display on unsupported browsers.

Be sure to save your changes when creating or editing content. The HTML editor displays the content similar to a word processor.

With the HTML Editor, you can perform common word processing tasks including the following:

Setting Icon Description
Style style icon Use the Style drop-down menu to apply a predefined cascading style (based on your ANGEL theme) to an element on your page.
Link link icon Use the link icon to insert a weblink.
Font font selection icon Use the Font drop-down menu to apply a font to selected text.
Size size icon Use the Size drop-down menu to adjust the size of selected text.
SpellChecker spell check icon Use the SpellChecker tool to easily identify and replace misspelled words.
