ARTICULATION AGREEMENT COLLEGE OF HEALTH SCIENCES ROANOKE, VA AND ORANGE COUNTY COMMUNITY COLLEGE MIDDLETOWN, NY Governing students earning the Associate of Applied Science Degree in Physical Therapist Assistant (AASPTA) who will pursue the Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training (BSAT) from the College of Health Sciences (CHS). PREAMBLE The College of Health Sciences and Orange County Community College (OCCC), in their efforts to serve the educational needs of their students, and to work collegially to improve access to higher education for the benefit of their service areas, do hereby establish this Articulation Agreement. This Articulation Agreement pertains to those students earning the AASPTA who seek to complete the Athletic Training degree from the College of Health Sciences. ARTICLES 1. OCCC graduates will be admitted as candidates for articulation if they complete the AASPTA. 2. All AASPTA graduates will enter with Junior status. This block of credit may not fulfill content areas for majors other than the BSAT. 3. The Articulation Agreement students must meet the same standards as all other CHS students for official admission into the BSAT program. The admission requirements are listed in the CHS catalog for the year in which a student applies to CHS. The specific requirements to the BSAT program are subject to change for all CHS students. Refer to the CHS Catalog for details. 4. Hours remaining to completion for the BSAT degree vary according to the General Education credits earned with the AASPTA degree. 5. A minimum of 45 credit hours in BSAT must be taken and completed at CHS. 6. This agreement shall commence March 1, 2002 and run continuously without necessity of renewal. 7. Either party, upon one semester’s/quarter’s (Fall, Winter, or Spring) written notice, may terminate this agreement. In the event of termination, students who have matriculated at CHS will be continued through completion of the BSAT degree. Also, students enrolled at the time who declare in writing to CHS that they are pursuing this Articulation Agreement will be continued through completion of the BSAT degree. 8. Both CHS and OCCC give mutual assurance that in performing their duties under this agreement that they will not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, sex, national origin, age, and handicap. Reasonable accommodations will be made in compliance with Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and the American with Disabilities Act of 1990. AGREEMENT It is with great dedication to the citizenry of the Commonwealth of Virginia and the State of New York that the College of Health Sciences and Orange County Community College, agree on March 1, 2002 to establish this Articulation Agreement outlined herein regarding students who are pursuing the Bachelor of Sciences in Athletic Training degree within the College of Health Sciences.
