Class of 2018 Enshrined on Nov. 3; Marks Seventh Class to Enter HOF

PHOTO: Ryan Sonnenschein, Joe Famellette, Bob Bunnell and Corey Booth were among those inducted into the Colt Athletic Hall of Fame on Nov. 3.MIDDLETOWN, N.Y. – The SUNY Orange Colt Athletic Hall of Fame expanded its roster by five members on Saturday, Nov. 3 when it inducted the Class of 2018 during morning ceremonies held at Kuhl’s Highland House in Middletown.

The seventh induction class of the Colt Athletic Hall of Fame included Stefan Bonneau ’10, Cory Booth ’10, Bob Bunnell ’71, Joe Famellette ’58 and Ryan Sonnenschein ’10. This year’s class spanned more than five decades of Colt athletic excellence with Joe Famellette and Bob Bunnell representing two historic eras while Bonneau, Booth and Sonnenschein became the youngest inductees.

Bonneau was a basketball standout while both Booth and Bunnell starred on the baseball diamond. Sonnenschein was a golfer and Famallette played tennis, wrestling, soccer and basketball. Famellete was named the College’s “Athlete of the Year” in 1958.

Saturday’s festivities brought the Hall of Fame roster to 42 individual, along with the 1969 cross country team.
