SUNY ORANGE SYMPHONIC BAND TO OFFER POPS CONCERT APRIL 29

Under the Direction of Joe Martellaro, Band will Feature Baritone Saxophonist Owen Moore

MIDDLETOWN, N.Y. – The SUNY Orange Symphonic Band will host a Pops Concert at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, April 29 at Middletown’s Paramount Theater.

The evening program will feature Owen Moore performing on the baritone sax during the band’s playing of Rudy Wiedoeft’s “Saxophobia.” The remaining arrangements include: “Ride” by Samuel Hazo, “Liberty Fanfare” by John Williams, “American Salute” by Morton Gould, “Chorale and Shaker Dance” by John Zdechlik, “As All the Heavens Were a Bell” by Jay Bocook, “Parade of the Charioteers” by Mikolos Rozsa, “Music from the Incredibles” by Michael Giacchino, “Nobles of the Mystic Shrine” by John Philip Sousa, and “Seventy-Six Trombones” by Meredith Wilson.

General admission is $10. Active duty military personnel and SUNY Orange students with ID are free. The Paramount Theatre, located at 17 South St. in Middletown, is universally accessible.
