Ed Devitt II, Survivor of a Traumatic Brain Injury, Will Speak About the Accident that Changed His Life

MIDDLETOWN, N.Y. -- Ed Devitt II, who survived a traumatic brain injury, will discuss the accident that changed his life during a lecture entitled “The Dangers of Addiction, Crashes, Grief and Loss: A True Story” at 11 a.m., Tuesday, March 1 in the Gerry Forum of the Rowley Center for Science and Engineering on the Middletown campus of SUNY Orange.

Devitt, of Montgomery, N.Y., will present his story of alcohol addiction, the June 1999 accident that changed his life and claimed two others, and his remarkable recovery. Devitt is a magnetic speaker driven to educate others about traumatic brain injury, addiction and distracted driving.
