In addition to enjoying the game, attendees will take part in a halftime competition, and be invited to a “meet and greet” with the female athletes after the game. Admission is free and there will be light refreshments and giveaways.

This year marks the 30th annual National Girls and Women in Sports Day (NGWSD), a national observance celebrating the extraordinary achievements of women and girls in sports. NGWSD has empowered women and girls to get moving, embrace physical activity and push past their limits both in sports and in life.

By participating in sports, young girls and women develop the leadership skills to excel in school, at home and in their communities. The courage, strength and character gained through physical activity are the very tools girls need to become the strong leaders of tomorrow. Join SUNY Orange in celebrating these achievements.

SUNY Orange heads into this weekend’s game at Queensborough (1 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 30) with an 11-6 record, including wins for the Colts in seven of their last nine contests.
