SUNY ORANGE ANNOUNCES JULY TRIP TO SCOTLAND AND NORTHERN ENGLAND

Eleven-Day Excursion to Include Visits to Scottish Countryside, Edinburgh Castle, Cultural Landmarks

Scottish countrysideMIDDLETOWN, N.Y. – The SUNY Orange Continuing and Professional Education Department is sponsoring an 11-day trip to Scotland and Northern England from July 18-28.

Highlights of the trip include visits to the Scottish countryside, historic Edinburgh castle and the Royal Gardens, the National Museum and National Gallery of Scotland and the beautiful Island of Skye. A boat ride on Loch Lomand, a tour of the scenic Lake District in northern England and stops at Hadrian’s Roman Wall and Fort, medieval York and the Jorvik Viking Museum round out the excursion. Expert local guides will accompany the group throughout the trip

The base price of the tour is $4,198 per person with double occupancy accommodations (based upon 21 or more participants: a $350 per person surcharge will be added if there are only 15-20 participants). A supplemental charge of $698 will be added for participants wishing to have single-occupancy accommodations. Participants must register for a one-credit continuing education course credit associated with the trip (approx. $60) and provide airport security tax of $222 per person.

The cost also includes round-trip airfare, nine-nights’ accommodations, all breakfasts, four dinners, museum and site entrance fees as listed on the itinerary, in-country bus service, in-country airport transfers and in-country guide services. Tips to in-country guides and bus driver, and personal expenses will be the responsibility of the participants.

The trip is open to SUNY Orange students, faculty and members of the general community. A deposit of $500 is due by Feb. 15.
