PHOTO: 2015 Holiday Open HouseMIDDLETOWN, N.Y. – An estimated 500 people toured SUNY Orange’s century old Morrison Hall mansion this past Saturday and Sunday for the first weekend of the College’s 21st annual Holiday Open House. The first floor of Morrison Hall, a stately Victorian mansion on South Street in Middletown, is decorated by the Middletown Garden Lovers under this year’s theme of “The Mansion is All Aglow with Victorian Elegance.” Visitors to Morrison Hall will be able to view the mansion’s five first-floor rooms each decorated in its own Victorian theme: “A Lady’s Parlor” (salon), “Entertainment in the Music Room” (music room); “The Children’s Room” (foyer), “Victorian Splendor” (dining room) and “The Elegant Victorian Gentlemen’s Room” (library). Morrison Hall will be available for viewing again this weekend, from 1 to 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 12-13. Admission is free. For more information, contact Mary Roth at (845) 341-4179.
