SUNY ORANGE TO OFFER MARCH 2016 TRIP TO EASTERN EUROPE

Visits to famed cities of Prague, Krakow and Budapest on the Itinerary

MIDDLETOWN, N.Y. -- The SUNY Orange Global Studies Department is sponsoring a March 2016 trip to Eastern Europe with visits to Hungary, Slovakia, Poland and the Czech Republic on tap.

Billed as a “Cultural and Political Journey Through Eastern Europe,” this 11-day trip will include visits to the famed cities of Prague, Krakow and Budapest, with travelers immersed in the history, politics, language, music, poetry and literature of this beautiful region that has been described as the crossroads of Europe. The itinerary includes two nights in Budapest, Hungary, on the Danube River; one night in medieval Trencin, Slovakia; three days in Krakow, Poland; and three days in Prague, Czech Republic.

The trip will run from March 18-28. The base price of the tour is $2,548, which includes motor coach transportation throughout the trip, professional guides and accommodations Airport taxes, tips, lunches and five dinners are not included and will be the responsibility of the participants.

The College has been monitoring the ongoing refugee crisis in Eastern Europe and will continue to do so throughout late winter as the trip departure date nears. The College will reserve the right to cancel the trip should the situation remain unsettled or the safety of the participants is in question.

The trip is open to SUNY Orange students, faculty and members of the general community. A deposit of $500 is due by Oct. 15.
