Wagner, who spent the past 12 years (2003-2015) as assistant controller at Mount Saint Mary College in Newburgh, will be charged with overseeing the College’s $61 million budget and managing business operations. She replaces Jo Ann Hamburg, who is now the College’s vice president for administration and finance.

In her role at Mount Saint Mary, Wagner reviewed and analyzed MSMC’s financial statements; prepared quarterly and annual state and federal filings; supervised the bookkeeper, payroll, accounts receivable and payable functions of the college; managed the student accounts office; and helped automate many of the College’s business functions.

A 1996 graduate of Binghamton University with a bachelor’s degree in accounting, Wagner earned her master’s degree in business administration from Mount Saint Mary this past May. She also earned an associate’s degree from Dutchess Community College in 1993.

Upon graduation from Binghamton, Wagner began a two-year tenure with the Newburgh certified public accounting firm of Vanacore, DeBenedictus, DiGiovanni & Weddell LLP. In 1998, she became the accounting manager for the American Arbitration Association in New York City. She founded Orange Business Solutions, Inc. in 2002, a Montgomery-based accounting and consulting firm providing services to businesses within Orange County.
