SUNY ORANGE TO CELEBRATE 30TH ANNIVERSARY OF CHILD CARE PROGRAM

4/7/2015

SUNY Orange to Honor Three Decades of its Lab School Program, Formerly Known as Kindercollege, on April 19

MIDDLETOWN, N.Y. -- SUNY Orange will celebrate 30 years of on-campus childcare programming with a Noon brunch on Sunday, April 19 in Kaplan Hall on the College’s Newburgh campus.

The College operates Lab Schools, formerly known as Kindercollege, on both campuses, offering child care from infants, toddlers and children of pre-school age, along with pre-kindergarten programming in conjunction with the Middletown and Newburgh school districts. The Kindercollege program was established in 1984.

The event will provide a chance to honor some of the founders of the original program, including Alice Fellenzer, and to celebrate the SUNY Orange tradition of providing high-quality on-campus child care for the children of students, faculty, staff and community members.

Community members and alumni of the Kindercollege programs are encouraged to attend. Families are also welcome. Cost is $25 per adult and $10 per child. Child care and activities for children will be provided throughout the program at no additional charge. Raffles, fundraising activities and a tour of the Newburgh Lab School will be offered.
