Nominations and applications for the presidential search have begun to arrive at the offices of RH Perry. Nominations of potential candidates can be sent directly to

On Monday, Nov. 3, the Presidential Search Committee met to learn more about the candidate evaluation process. Materials submitted by candidates can be quite lengthy and the evaluation process can be quite involved. At Monday’s meeting, committee members conducted a practice Candidate Evaluation Exercise that will help them prepare for the upcoming task of evaluating candidates.

Review of candidates by will begin on or about Dec. 5. The Committee will meet again in January to identify and discuss those candidates that the members would like to interview in person. Off campus interviews are expected to occur in late January or early February. Following that round of interviews, the committee will forward the names of three to five candidates to the Board of Trustees for final consideration.

Each of the finalists will visit SUNY Orange and the entire College community, as well as the community-at-large, will have the opportunity to meet the candidates during open forums.

While I remind you that this process is confidential, I also assure you that we will keep you informed, to the best extent possible, as the process unfolds.

Thank you.

Chair, SUNY Orange Presidential Search Committee
