SUNY ORANGE TO HOST UNDERAGE DRINKING TOWN HALL MEETING
Panel Discussion to Address Many Issues Surrounding Underage Drinking; Event Set for April 8
MIDDLETOWN, N.Y. – The SUNY Orange Wellness Center, in conjunction with the Substance Abuse Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), will host a town hall meeting entitled “Underage Drinking ... What’s the Problem?” from 1 to 3 p.m., Tuesday, April 8 in the Shepard Student Center, 115 South St.
Sean Gerow, suicide prevention coordinator at SUNY Orange, will host the discussion, which will address the impact of underage drinking and approaches to educating community members on how best to reduce underage drinking. Gerow will be joined by representatives from organizations and agencies including the Orange County Department of Mental Health, the Warwick Valley Coalition and the Middletown Cares Coalition.
Parents, community members, business leaders, students of all ages and those concerned about the prevalence and effects of underage drinking are invited to attend. Admission is free.
