Continuing Education Sponsoring Travel-Learn Trip to London and English Countryside July 15-24; Deposit Required by Feb. 14

MIDDLETOWN, N.Y. – Interested travelers will have the chance to visit London and the English countryside this July as part of a travel-learn trip offered by SUNY Orange’s Continuing and Professional Education department.

The trip is scheduled from July 15-24 and will take participants to such noted landmarks as Westminster Abbey, St. Paul’s Cathedral, British Museum, Tower of London, Natural History Museum and the National Gallery. Day trips to the beautiful countryside will feature visits to the Roman ruins at Bath, Salisbury Cathedral, Stonehenge, Windsor Castle, Hampton Court, Oxford and Stratford-on-Avon.

An evening at the theatre, a guided two-hour “Jack the Ripper” walk and a free day in London are also planned. Trip amenities include a private coach for touring in London, four-star hotel accommodations and expert guides throughout the stay. Tour leader Barry Kass will also hold informational seminars at the College’s Middletown campus prior to departure.

The trip is open to SUNY Orange faculty, staff, students and members of the general public. Cost of the program is $2,898 per person for double occupancy. A supplemental payment of $798 is required for single occupancy. Payment includes round-trip airfare, accommodations for eight nights, all breakfasts, welcome and farewell dinners, bus service, airport transfers and in-country guide services. Tips to local guides and bus driver, along with personal expenses, are not included.

Participants must register for a one-credit continuing education course as part of the trip (approx. $60). Additional airport and security taxes, and airline fuel surcharge, to be determined.
