The NYCCT Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization that provides education for community college trustees within the State University of New York system and seeks to secure funds for activities which NYCCT could not otherwise support. As the principal fiduciaries of their respective colleges, trustees are expected to exercise strong fiscal responsibilities and the Foundation works to provide a broad array of educational services to assist them in their leadership endeavors.

Anthonisen completed his second stint as chairman of the Board in 2011 after having served in the top leadership spot from 1996 through 1999. He has held positions on nearly every committee the SUNY Orange Board has established. He also has compiled a long list of active service to regional and national trustee organizations, having served as president of NYCCT from 2001-06 and as president of the national Association of Community College Trustees (ACCT) in 2009-10.

The new NYCCT slate of officers also includes: David L. Mathis (Mohawk Valley Community College), chair; Roxann Buck (Tompkins Cortland), chair-elect; Ms. Caroline Osinga (Rockland), treasurer; Donald B. Creath (Corning), secretary; Mary A. Adams, Trustee (Nassau), past chair.

The New York Community College Trustees (NYCCT) is a nonprofit association of volunteer trustees that was established to be an effective force in the development and implementation of public policy impacting community colleges.
