More Than 60 Employers Will Fill College’s Physical Education Building

MIDDLETOWN, N.Y. -- Job seekers from throughout Orange County, along with students and SUNY Orange alumni, are invited to the College’s upcoming Job Fair, to be held from 1 to 5 p.m., Thursday, April 19 in the Physical Education Building on the College’s Middletown campus.

More than 60 Hudson Valley employers are expected to be on hand, representing the fields of healthcare, retail, manufacturing, and correctional and service industries. Students, alumni and community members can submit their resumes and fill out applications. The event is free and open to the general public.

To help potential attendees prepare for the Job Fair, the SUNY Orange Office of Career and Internship Services has developed a web site that offers tips on how job seekers can maximize their efforts at the event, key questions to ask employers and other helpful topics. The site can be found at

The week prior to the Job Fair, the College will also be offering a pair of one-hour workshops--one on each campus--to help students and community members prepare for the fair. The sessions, entitled “Getting Ready for the Job Fair” are scheduled for 11 a.m., Wednesday, April 11 in Room 210 of Kaplan Hall on the Newburgh campus, and at 11 a.m., Thursday, April 12 in Room 351 of the Shepard Student Center on the Middletown campus. Both sessions are free and open to the general public.
