Two-Session Course in March Targeted to Healthcare Field; Will Demonstrate Elements of Effective Plans

MIDDLETOWN, N.Y. -- SUNY Orange will offer a two-session training course on Corporate Compliance Plans on March 1 and 8 for employees of healthcare providers, health plans, pharmaceutical firms and non-healthcare firms who may receive government funding.

Upon completion of the course, participants may continue work toward becoming credentialed as a New York State Certified Compliance Executive or Certified Compliance Professional. Case scenarios will be used in the course to reinforce learning.

Sessions, under the direction of SUNY Orange’s Continuing and Professional Education division, will be held Tuesday evenings from 6 to 8 p.m. in Harriman Hall Room 214 on the College’s Middletown campus. Tuition, covering both sessions, is $89. Participants will gain an understanding of the eight essential elements that comprise an effective corporate compliance plan.

The New York State Department of Labor projects that from 2008-2018 there will be 297,000 corporate compliance job openings nationally, and 990 openings in New York State.
