NEARLY 80 COLLEGE REPRESENTATIVES TO ATTEND TRANSFER FAIR

10/19/2011

SUNY Orange to Host Event Nov. 9-10 in Shepard Student Center

MIDDLETOWN, N.Y. – SUNY Orange students and those community members who attend the College’s upcoming Transfer Fair will have nearly 80 college and university representatives at their disposal during the Nov. 9-10 event at the George F. Shepard Student Center on the Middletown campus.

A wide array of colleges and universities from New York State will be on hand, along with colleges from the tri-state area, New England and beyond being represented as well. The event will run from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. each day, with tables set up in the Fireplace Lounge, located on the second floor of the Shepard Center.

To assure that its students enjoy smooth transition to four-year colleges and universities, and to establish a foundation for continued academic achievement, SUNY Orange maintains articulation (transfer) agreements with many academic institutions.

Such comprehensive agreements range from identifying selected courses that will transfer to outlining entire SUNY Orange degree programs that will allow graduates to enter four-year colleges or universities with full junior status. For more information on the Transfer Fair, contact the Advising and Counseling Office at (845) 341-4070. For specific information on SUNY Orange’s articulation agreements, contact the Office of Educational Partnerships at (845) 341-4760 or visit the College web site at www.sunyorange.edu.
