SUNY Orange to Showcase Academic Programs, Support Services, Extracurricular Activities

PHOTO: Prospective students learn more about SUNY OrangeMIDDLETOWN, N.Y. – Hoping to offer prospective students the information necessary to help them map their educational future, whether they will be first-time college students or former students looking to return to the classroom, SUNY Orange will hold its annual Spring Admissions Open House from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, May 17 at the College’s Middletown campus.

Those local high school seniors who are still investigating their college options for the coming fall, as well as others looking to gather information on potential college choices, are invited to attend.

Faculty and staff members will be on hand to discuss the College’s many academic programs, as well as transfer and career possibilities students enjoy following graduation from SUNY Orange. Financial aid, scholarship guidelines and admissions forms will be available as well.

Students at SUNY Orange also enjoy many extra-curricular endeavors, and athletics and student activities representatives will have information regarding many of the sports programs, clubs and organizations at the College. SUNY Orange also operates a challenging academic Honors Program for highly motivated and talented students, and enjoys membership in the Hudson Valley Educational Consortium, which affords SUNY Orange students the chance to complete first responder degree programs offered by either SUNY Ulster, SUNY Rockland or SUNY Sullivan.

SUNY Orange administers nearly 40 academic majors, boasts the finest student transfer success rate in the State University of New York system and provides diverse educational opportunities to help students meet their goals.

Tours of the College’s Middletown campus will be provided and light refreshments will be available in the Shepard Center’s Fireplace Lounge. The Shepard Student Center is located at the intersection of South and Bennett streets. Parking is available nearby.
