SUNY ORANGE ADJUSTS ADMISSIONS, REGISTRATION AND ADVISING DEADLINES DUE TO SNOW CLOSING ON JAN. 12

Deadlines for Assessment Testing and Submission of Academic Credentials for New Students Moved to 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 13; Other Changes Implemented as Well

MIDDLETOWN, N.Y. –Due to the announced snow closing at SUNY Orange on Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2011, the College is extending the time frames for new and continuing students to complete their registration-related activities. Please take a moment to review the details below:

Middletown Campus:

  • Assessment Testing will be extended to Thursday, Jan. 13, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
  • Advising, Registration and Bursar Offices will remain open until 7 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 14.

College-wide:

  • The application deadline for new, first-time students is Wednesday, Jan. 12; the deadline for submission of HS transcripts/academic credentials is extended to Thursday, Jan. 13 at 1 p.m.
  • Advising and Counseling will expand the Thursday (Jan. 13) New START sessions to accommodate up to 20 students each at Middletown (with the stipulation that only the first 10 students will be guaranteed registration that day) and up to 12 students each in Newburgh (with the stipulation that only 6 will be guaranteed registration that day). Other students may wait and we will advise/register them if possible.
  • Friday, Jan. 14 we are adding 9 a.m. and 10 a.m. New START sessions at Newburgh (12 slots) and Middletown (20 slots) with no guarantees for advising/registration that day, and a 5 p.m. New START session at Middletown with advising/registration on Tuesday (Jan. 18). All new students have until Wednesday (Jan. 19) to return and complete their advising/registration forms
  • New students who have assessed and attended a New START session may register through Wednesday, Jan 19.
  • Friday, Jan. 14 is the last date to enroll in the Tuition Payment Plan online. After this date, payment arrangements can be made only through the Bursar’s Office.
  • Tuesday, Jan. 18 will be the last day for students to make changes to their schedules without additional charges and to complete Total Withdrawals to have their tuition bill deleted/refunded.
  • Wednesday, Jan. 19 will be the first day for these charges to be in effect.
  • Transfer students and readmitted students may register through Monday, Jan. 24.
