Prospective Students Able to Gather Data Regarding Academic Programs, Financial Aid, Admissions Process

MIDDLETOWN, N.Y. – Local students who may still be weighing their academic options for the fall, as well as others looking to gather information on potential college choices, will have the chance to investigate SUNY Orange later this month when the College hosts its annual Spring Admissions Open House from 5 to 7 p.m., Tuesday, May 25 at the George F. Shepard Student Center in Middletown.

The Open House is designed to give prospective students the information necessary to map their educational future, whether they will be first-time college students or former students looking to return to the classroom.

Faculty and staff members will be on hand to discuss the College’s many academic programs, as well as transfer and career possibilities students enjoy following graduation from SUNY Orange. Financial aid, scholarship guidelines and admissions forms will be available as well.

Students at SUNY Orange also enjoy many extra-curricular endeavors, and Athletics and Student Activities representatives will have information regarding many of the sports programs, clubs and organizations at the College. SUNY Orange also operates a challenging academic Honors Program for highly motivated and talented students.

SUNY Orange offers nearly 40 academic majors, boasts one of the finest student transfer success rates in the State University of New York system and provides diverse educational opportunities to help students meet their goals.

Tours of the College’s Middletown campus will be provided and light refreshments will be available in the Shepard Center’s Fireplace Lounge. The Shepard Student Center is located at the intersection of South and Bennett streets. Parking is available nearby.
