SUNY ORANGE TO HOST SOCIAL SERVICES FORUM IN NEWBURGH APRIL 29

Available Programs and Services to be Highlighted, as well as Eligibility and Applications Requirements

NEWBURGH, N.Y. – Representatives from local social services agencies and organizations will discuss the variety of available services and programs in the Hudson Valley, along with eligibility and application requirements, as part of the College’s Social Services Forum, scheduled from 5 to 7 p.m., Thursday, April 29 in Room 221 of the Tower Building on the Newburgh Campus.

Attendees will be presented with information on such topics as food stamps, local shelters, mental health services, disability services, healthcare, domestic violence and money management.

The following organizations and agencies are among those expected to participate: Department of Social Services, New York State Office of Children and Family Services, Mobile Mental Health/Occupations Inc., Food Bank of the Hudson Valley, Inspire, Rural Development Association, Jewish Family Services, Independent Living Inc., Safe Homes of Orange County, Newburgh Ministry, Catholic Charities, Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Orange County, and the SUNY Orange Health Services Department.
