SUNY Orange to Hold Sessions/Tours During Spring Break Week for Most Orange County High Schools

MIDDLETOWN, N.Y. – By offering daily admissions workshops and campus tours during the Spring Break week for most Orange County high schools (March 29 to April 5), the SUNY Orange Admissions staff is hoping that interested local students will choose to spend at least one day of their layoff seeing the Middletown campus and learning about the College’s educational programs.

For high school seniors who may be considering enrolling at SUNY Orange for the Fall semester, or high school juniors looking to get a jump start on their college selection process, campus tours are a great opportunity to interact with current students, observe the campus, and investigate classrooms, facilities and laboratories.

The Admissions staff regularly holds small group workshops in both Middletown and Newburgh each week throughout the academic year. Middletown workshops are held in the Third Floor Conference Room of the George F. Shepard Student Center, 115 South St., while Newburgh workshops take place in the Tower Building, located at One Washington Center.

The planned Spring Break events for Middletown are as follows: Monday, March 29 (10 a.m.); Tuesday, March 30 (2 p.m.); Wednesday, March 31 (5 p.m.); Thursday, April 1 (2 p.m.); Friday, April 2 (2 p.m.); and Monday, April 5 (10 a.m.).

SUNY Orange offers nearly 40 academic programs designed for either career preparation or transfer to a four-year college or university. Two-year degree programs culminate in the awarding of an Associate in Science (A.S.), an Associate in Arts (A.A.) or an Associate in Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree. One-year certificate programs are also available.
