Holiday Open House at Morrison Hall Set for Dec. 5-6, 12-13, Will Feature Work of Middletown Garden Lovers

PHOTO: 2008 Holiday Open House at SUNY OrangeMIDDLETOWN, N.Y. – SUNY Orange’s majestic Morrison Hall will be awash in “Victorian Visions” for two weekends this December when the award-winning Middletown Garden Lovers decorate the stately mansion for the College’s 15th annual Holiday Open House.

Visitors to Morrison Hall on the weekends of Dec. 5-6 and 12-13 will enjoy self-guided tours of the mansion’s five first-floor rooms from 1 to 5 p.m. on each of the four days. Admission is free. The SUNY Orange Madrigal Singers will perform songs of the season in the mansion’s Music Room at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 12, while the Chamber Ensemble will perform in the Music Room at 1 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 13.

Donations will be accepted for the Peter Alberghini Inspirational Scholarship. Alberghini, a long-time SUNY Orange employee and advocate for Orange County residents through education, civic work and mental health programs, originated the Holiday Open House as a way for the local community to enjoy Morrison Hall.

The Holiday Open House is jointly sponsored by the College and the SUNY Orange Foundation.
