SUNY Orange professor Max Schaefer will direct “Urinetown: The Musical” with Amanda Williams and Jill Carroll serving as musical director and choreographer, respectively. Terry Sandford is the producer and Peter Galipeau is technical director. Cast members include Kristen Casey, Tierney Crone, Carmine Garritano, Evan Hammond, A.J. Hankins, Rich Hotaling, Lourdesa Hunt, Kayla Jardine, James Kostenblatt, Tab Merkel, David Mossey, Mady Odell, Ted Odell, Terry Odell, Joe Pietropaolo, Shawn Schorno, William Schwartz, Nancy Talarico, Kristen Unick and Chelsea Wertheim.

In “Urinetown,” a Gotham-like city, a terrible water shortage, caused by a 20-year drought, has led to a government-enforced ban on private toilets. The citizens must use public amenities, regulated by a single malevolent company that profits by charging admission for one of humanity’s most basic needs. Amid the people, a hero decides he’s had enough, and plans a revolution to lead them all to freedom!
