CHAMBER ENSEMBLE ANNOUNCES MAY 3 CONCERT

Stately Mansion to Serve as Backdrop for Music of Heiden, Beethoven, Rodgers, Ibert and Lefebvre

MIDDLETOWN, N.Y. – The SUNY Orange Chamber Ensemble will hold a free concert at 7 p.m., Sunday, May 3 in the Music Room of Morrison Hall, the College’s century old mansion located on its Middletown campus, 115 South St.

The concert program will include “Intrada for Woodwind Quintet and Eb Alto Saxophone” by Bernard Heiden; “Carousel Waltz Medley” by Richard Rodgers, with arrangement by H.C. Moore; “Cinq Pieces en trio for Oboe, Clarinet, and Bassoon” by Jacques Ibert; “Quintet in E flat Major, Op. 4” by Ludwig van Beethoven; “Suite for Quintet, Op. 57” by Charles Lefebvre; and “Quintet, Op. 71” by Beethoven.
