Three Summer Sessions Provide Educational Opportunities for Students at SUNY Orange, Other Colleges

MIDDLETOWN, N.Y. – Registration is now ongoing for SUNY Orange’s three Summer 2009 academic sessions, meaning SUNY Orange students, as well as Hudson Valley residents attending other colleges and universities, can now get a jump on planning their summer academic schedules.

With three six-week sessions spaced throughout the summer, the College offers students the flexibility to create a convenient schedule of classes that augments their studies during the regular academic year at either SUNY Orange or another college or university. Summer study may also appeal those June 2009 high school graduates who may be seeking to ease their transition to a college setting.

Current or prospective students are encouraged to register for summer classes on the Middletown or Newburgh campuses by May 4. The Summer I session runs from June 1 through July 9, while Summer II will be held from June 29 through Aug. 6. Summer III is from July 13 through Aug. 20. Late registration deadlines for the three sessions are as follows: Summer I: May 28; Summer II: June 25; Summer III: July 9.

Registration may be completed in-person at the Registrar’s Office, located in the George F. Shepard Student Center, 115 South St., Middletown. Continuing students, recently readmitted students and non-degree seeking students may also register via regular mail. Online registration is open to current SUNY Orange students who meet certain criteria and who have no holds on their record that would prevent regular registration.
